As a leader, Jan is humble, supportive, attentive, and plain-spoken. Management by objectives and follow-up is a given for Jan. He is not the kind of person who takes the limelight, but he gains respect from his personality.
What will Jan’s mission be?
Jan’s mission is (1) create profitability at Galvano (EBT 10%), (2) deliver to and communicate with the customers, and (3) develop Galvano to be market leading in Scandinavia. This is only possible through good leadership and engaged co-workers.
Jan’s background
Jan started working with coating in 1983 within the family business that was eventually sold to Proton. During those years, the company grew substantially. Jan was CEO for the company, welcoming, developing and saying goodbye to the employees of the company. He has seen many outstanding colleagues growing in their roles.
During his time, there has been company acquisitions, downsizing, development and investments. Customer relation, sales and marketing has been a big part of his job, but also investment and production calculations and negotiations. His last position was at Swedecote, where he was the chief executive of its operations.
And in his spare time?
In his spare time, Jan exercises, goes for long walks, and plays golf if there’s time for it. He enjoys travel too. Jan is married and have three adult children, aged 25, 27 and 29.
We at Provexa believe that Jan will contribute to continued successes and look forward to having him as a colleague. His first day at the job is January 14, 2019, and we wish him good luck in his new job. We also thank Anders Ysing for his engagement and loyalty as Business Area Manager and wish him good luck on his new position.
