Updated information following the fire at Provexa Gothenburg

17 September, 2026

We would like to provide a new update on the work following the fire at our production facility in Gothenburg on 27 August.

Clean-up, technical inspections and restoration work are continuing at high intensity. Since our previous update, we have been able to resume parts of our operations and have taken further steps in our plan for a gradual restart.

The current status is as follows:
ZnFlake Department
Geomet bulk: Production is ongoing (week 38), and capacity is now being increased gradually.
Geomet rack: Test runs are ongoing. Our ambition is to restart production during this week (week 38) and then gradually increase capacity.

Provexa Technology
Parts of production have resumed this week (week 38). Operations will be ramped up gradually over the coming weeks. Production is currently taking place at a temporary location in Älvängen. Further information is available from your usual contact.

P&P Department
ED/Powder: The clean-up work has proven to be more extensive and is taking longer than planned. Our current plan is to restart production during week 44.

Galvano Department
Kombiine: Restart planned for January 2027. We will provide a more detailed schedule once the work has progressed further.

Manual Department and Zinc Line: The situation remains unchanged. The damage is extensive, and there is still no timetable for when production can resume. We continue to maintain a dialogue with affected customers and, where possible, try to assist with alternative solutions.

For more detailed information, please contact your usual contact person at Provexa.

The timelines are based on the information currently available to us and may change as the work progresses. Safety, quality and all necessary technical inspections will always take priority over a rapid restart of production.

When a line restarts, capacity will initially be limited. A production restart therefore does not automatically mean that all deliveries can resume immediately. Our customer representatives will continuously contact affected customers to discuss orders, priorities and possible delivery dates.

We understand that the situation continues to cause difficulties and uncertainty for you as a customer. We are doing everything we can to limit the impact and restore our delivery capability as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you for your continued cooperation, understanding and the great support we have received.
