Brass

Brass or other cupper alloys are common to plate. This is mostly done for technical reasons such as conductivity, or for decorative reasons to change the esthetics of the surface. When plating an alloy that contains zinc, it is often necessary to first apply a barrier layer. This is to prevent the zinc in the material from migrating into the plated layer and is necessary to maintain the properties of the layer over time. Below are the surface treatment methods that Provexa offers on copper alloys. Read more about a process by clicking on it.
